International Workshop on Cellular Neural Networks and Application, Hsin-Chu, Taiwan

This workshop is jointly organized by the Taipei Chapter of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and National Chiao&#8211;Tung University, Taiwan&#046; It strives to bring together people in the area of Cellular Neural/Nonlinear Network to provide an international forum for the reporting of current developments, to summarize the state of the art, and to exchange new ideas and advances in Cellular Neural Networks and their Applications&#046; It is the first time the Workshop on CNNA has been held outside of Europe&#046; To promote the fundamental research and applications of CNN in IT industries, which is the main stream of Taiwan Hi&#8211;Tech, the main theme of this workshop is set as CNN&#8211;IT: Brain&#8211;like sensory computing for consumer electronics&#046; This workshop will bring together keynote speakers, researchers, and the industrial community, providing a bridge between bio&#8211;inspired technology and the best engineering practice&#046; Also, tutorial and keynote lectures will be organized and given by prominent researchers&#046; <b>Keywords:</b> Basic theory, cellular nonlinear spatiotemporal phenomena<br>Applications including computing, communications, and multimedia<br>Bionics<br>Learning<br>Physical implementations (VLSI, optical, nanotechnology)<br>Analogic CNN microprocessors and chip sets<br>CNN development systems, software implementations, and simulators<br>Cellular and sparsely connected dynamic processor systems<br>Biologically relevant models and neuromorphic implementations<br>Integrated sensing and processing
