The technical program covers a vast range, from astronomical distances to the most microscopic, with dedicated sessions on Astronomical and Space Optics, and sessions on Optical Components and Devices. Software and Modeling in Optics, and Optical Sensors. The former recognizes the large amount of work being done in modeling optical systems, while the latter expands new horizons in the use of optical fibres for sensing physical changes. Biophotonics covers the use of optics in the life sciences and also addresses the medical applications of optics. Lasers continue to break new ground; packing more and more energy into increasingly smaller time slots, and these will be showcased in the Ultra–fast session. Telecommunications, Laser Machining and Imaging Displays cover a lot of the main industrial applications of optics and are well represented at this conference. Keywords: Astronomical and Space Optics
Biophotonics
Fiber Optic Sensors
Imaging, Displays, and Detectors
Material Processing and Optical Machining
Optical Components and Devices
Software and Modeling in Optics
Optics in Telecommunications Networking
Ultrafast Lasers
Education and Training in Optics and Photonics
