Abstract

DISC, the International Symposium on Distributed Computing, is an annual forum for research presentations on all facets of distributed computing. The symposium was called the International Workshop on Distribuded Algorithms (WDAG) from 1985 to 1997. DISC 2005 is organized in cooperation with the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS). Research contributions to the theory, design, specification, analysis, implementation, or application of distributed systems and networks are solicited. Keywords: distributed algorithms and their complexity, concurrent programming and synchronization algorithms, multiprocessor/cluster architectures and algorithms, fault tolerance, self–stabilizing, self–*, and autonomic systems, communication networks–––protocols and architectures, sensor, mobile, ad–hoc, peer–to–peer networks, pervasive and ubiquitous computing, cryptographic and security protocols, specification, semantics, and verification, distributed computing issues in the Internet and the world–wide web, distributed operating systems and databases, distributed programming languages. distributed object–oriented computing.
