The 2006 IEEE International Conference on Ultra–Wideband will be held at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, from 24 – 27 September 2006. This conference provides a forum for the latest UWB systems, technologies, and applications in both microwave and millimeter–wave bands. This conference is a continuation of a series of international UWB conferences held in Baltimore (2002), Reston–VA (2003), Oulu (2004), Kyoto (2004), and Zurich (2005). Prospective authors are invited to submit Summaries of their work (6 pages maximum, PDF format) emphasizing their contribution beyond the present state of the art. Submission of a paper implies that at least one of the authors will have a full registration to the Conference on acceptance of the paper. Each registered author can present a maximum of three papers. All accepted papers will be published by the IEEE in the Conference Proceedings and included in IEEE Xplore. There will be a student paper contest. See the conference website for further details. Keywords: Antennas and Propagation
UWB antennas
Channel measurements&modeling
Field trials & measurements
Systems and signal processing:
Modulation & detection
System architectures
Synchronization
Ranging & localization
Interference & capacity
Coding & decoding
Multiple access schemes
Hardware architecture and Implementation:
RF modules
Pulse generation & detection Low power consumption techniques
OFDM implementations
Integrated circuit design Circuits & Systems
Regulatory issues:
Spectral management
Measurement for type approval
Signal modeling
Co–existence
UWB Applications:
Wireless PAN
Positioning
Tools for system analysis
Home networking
Sensing
Radar
Consumer electronics
Wireless USB, Wireless Firewire
