The 2007 SBMO/IEEE MTT–S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference (IMOC 2007) is a biennial international forum of telecommunication technologies organized by the Brazilian Microwave and Optoelectronics Society (SBMO), with the co–sponsorship of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE MTT–S). In its twelfth edition, this conference will be held at the beautiful city of Salvador, the first capital of Brazil until the eighteen century. The new Convention Center of the Othon Palace Hotel faces the beach of Ondina, which is close to gold decorated barroque churches and other touristical attractions, including internationally known percussion bands of Carnival. IMOC2007 will provide a major international forum for exchanging information on research and developments in the theoretical and experimental fields of Microwaves and Optoelectronics including Millimetric and Nanometric Waves, Antennas, Radio Propagation, Fiber Optics, and Photonic Networks. A selection of invited speakers will highlight important and developing areas. Authors are asked to submit their camera–ready papers, in IEEE double column format. A template for the required format is available in our homepage. The papers will be assessed by an international review board. English will be the official language of the Conference. Keywords: 1) Microwave, Millimetric and Nanometric Components, Devices and Circuits
2) Optoelectronic Devices and Related Techniques
3) Monolithic Integrated Circuit Technology
4) Microwave–Photonics Design and Applications
5) Optical Amplifiers
6) Photonic Network Theory and Techniques
7) Wireless and Mobile Subsystems and Devices
8) Wireless and Optical Local Area Networks
9) Metropolitan and Wide Area Networks
10) Modulation Techniques for Cellular and HDTV
11) Microwave and Optical Sensors
12) Microwave and Optical Measurements 13) Field Theory and Guided Waves
14) Computational Electromagnetics
15) Numerical Methods in Microwave and Photonics
16) Electromagnetic Compatibility
17) Antenna Analysis and Design
18) Adaptive, Active, and Smart Antennas
19) Indoor and Urban Propagation Modeling
20) Radio Propagation and Remote Sensing
21) Radio and Radar Meteorology
22) Satellite Communications
23) Biomedical Technologies and Effects
24) Industrial Applications
25) Military Applications
