Boise State University is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the Seventh Annual Non–Volatile Memory Technology Symposium, November 5–8, 2006, in the lovely San Francisco Bay Area of California, and encourages you to submit an abstract for the conference describing your research and advances in new and alternative non–volatile memory technologies. Abstract submission information is provided on the conference website: http://coen.boisestate.edu/nvmts. The deadline for abstract submission is June 9, 2006. The conference site will be the San Mateo Marriott, 1770 South Amphlett Boulevard, San Mateo, CA 94402 (1–800–556–8972). When making reservations please use our code NVMTS to receive the conference room rate. The Symposium fills the need for a conference that focuses on emerging non–volatile memory technologies and advances in existing non–volatile memory technologies, rather than on a single selected technology. The purpose of this conference is to bring together leading researchers in academia and industry with innovative technologists and investing stakeholders in order to nurture a free exchange of triumphs and challenges of a variety of technologies. We hope to provide a forum for discussing all aspects of novel memory concepts. Keywords: •Chalcogenide–, resistive–, ionic–, and polymer–based memory concepts;
•Binary oxides;
•Magnetic memory;
•Quantum memory concepts;
•Memory cell design;
•Device architecture and applications;
•Packaging;
•Scalability;
•Environmental effects/ radiation.
