The APIEMS is a network for Industrial Engineering & Management Science individuals. It is well represented with the 36 Board Members coming from the eight (8) different economies namely Autralia, China, Hongkong, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. It holds conferences to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on the latest developments in Industrial Engineering and Management Systems and to seek opportunities for collaboration among the participants.<br>The APIEMS conference was commenced in 1998 with two Sino–Japan and Korea–Japan joint conferences. The two conferences joined forces in Japan in 1999 and became a prime Asia–Pacific conference. Since then, this major event for international scholars in the areas of Industrial Engineering and Management has been held successfully in Kanazawa JAPAN (1999), Hong Kong 2000, Taipei 2002, Gold Coast 2004, and Manila 2005.<br>The APIEMS publishes an official journal, the Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (IEMS). IEMS, an international journal, is intended for reporting original quality works on industrial engineering and management systems.
