The 2007 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation & Test (VLSI–DAT) will be held in the Ambassador Hotel, Hsinchu, TAIWAN April 25–27, 2007. Sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affair, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Science Council and the Ministry of Education, the VLSI–DAT provides a forum for presenting new innovations and achievements related to VLSI design, automation, and test. Original unpublished papers are solicited. Accepted papers will be published by the IEEE after presentation in the symposium.
The VLSI–DAT was spun–off in 2005 from the influential 20–year–old International Symposium on VLSI Technology, Systems, and Applications (VLSI–TSA). The 2006 VLSI–DAT has successfully attracted over 500 attendees with a very high–quality program featuring 3 keynote speeches, 6 invited talks, over 70 technical papers, 3 tutorials on hot topics and 5 invited industrial talks. In 2007, the VLSI–DAT and the VLSI–TSA will be held again in the same week with a one–day overlap.
Hsinchu is the semiconductor capital of Taiwan. Its science–based industry park is home to foundry giants TSMC and UMC as well as many world–leading fabless IC design companies. It is also the home city of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao–Tung University. The IEEE VLSI–DAT is an excellent opportunity for VLSI Design professionals and researchers to meet together. Hsinchu is only one–hour bus–ride away from Taipei, the real capital of Taiwan, where great tourist attraction is abundant.
More VLSI–DAT information will keep in updating.
