The Software Technology Conference (STC) was first held in 1989, sponsored by the Air Force through the Software Technology Support Center at Hill AFB, UT, to provide information and training on software engineering issues and technologies. Approximately 200 individuals attended that three–day conference with 15 vendors exhibiting. Since that time, the number of participants, presentations, and exhibiting vendors at the conference has continually grown.<br>The conference is touted as the premier systems and software technology conference relating to the Department of Defense.
