Shape Modeling International (SMI) provides a forum for the dissemination of new computational techniques for modeling and processing digital representations of shapes and their properties to a community of academic and industrial experts across a wide range of areas. In 2001, SMI has merged with the Implicit Surface Workshop and is now run as an annual event alternating between Asia, Europe and America. Keywords: Shape Acquisition & Reconstruction
Topological Modeling of Shapes
Shape Representations
Shape Analysis & Shape Statistics
Shape Recognition & Classification
Shape Matching & Retrieval
Geometry Processing
Uncertainty Modeling & Visualization
Smoothing & Denoising
Compression, Simplification & Multiresolution
Progressive transmission & streaming
Deformations & Morphing
Dynamic Shapes & Animation
Collisions & Self–Intersections
Modeling for Games & Entertainment
Molecular Shape Analysis
Physically–Based & Grammar–Based Models
Human–Shape Interaction Techniques
Human Body Modeling & Analysis
GPU–based techniques
