ISOM/ODS’08 will provide an opportunity for exchanging information on the status, advances, and future directions in the fi eld of optical data storage. New developments in holographic, volumetric, near–fi eld, superresolution, and hybrid recording technologies for fourth–generation systems will be the main focus at this conference.
Special sessions on Applications and Nano–Optics are also planned. Contributions on alternative technologies and theoretical studies from universities are strongly encouraged.
Keywords: • Basic Theory
• Testing and Characterization
• Media
• Components
• Coding and Signal Processing
• Drive Technologies
• Systems and Applications
• Holographic Recording
• Three–Dimensional Recording
• Near–Field Recording
• Super–Resolution
• Hybrid Recording
• New or Related Technologies
