<SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>The PASA workshop series has the goal to build a bridge between theory and practice in the area of parallel systems and algorithms. In this context practical problems which require theoretical investigations as well as the applicability of theoretical approaches and results to practice shall be discussed. An important aspect is communication and exchange of experience between various groups working in the area of parallel computing, e.g. in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or mathematics.

Keywords:
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– parallel architectures & storage systems <SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– interconnection networks
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– parallel embedded systems – reconfigurable parallel computing
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– ubiquitous and pervasive systems – distributed and parallel multimedia systems
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– models of parallel computation – performance evaluation of parallel systems
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– data stream–oriented computing – software engineering for parallel systems
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– parallel and distributed algorithms – parallel programming languages
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– network and grid computing – new technologies & architectures (SoC, Multicores, PIM, etc.)
<P class=MsoNormal style=″TEXT–INDENT: 14.2pt″><SPAN lang=EN–GB style=″FONT–FAMILY: Arial″>– parallel organic computing – alternative technologies (e.g. quantum or DNA computing)
