Abstract

<p> SIGSOFT 2008 brings together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to exchange new results related to both traditional and emerging fields of software engineering&#046; SIGSOFT 2008 includes the 16th International Symposium on Foundations of Software Engineering, which features invited speakers and technical paper presentations&#046; SIGSOFT 2008 also includes a program of workshops on current hot topics in software engineering, sessions for educators and students, and collocated events&#046; </p> <p> SIGSOFT 2008 workshops will provide opportunities for exchanging views, advancing ideas, and discussing preliminary results in various areas of software&#8211;engineering research and applications&#046; SIGSOFT 2008 Software Engineering Educators Symposium (SEES) will consist of sessions on practical aspects of software&#8211;engineering education&#046; A Doctoral Symposium and a Student Poster Session will provide special activities for students&#046; Finally, SIGSOFT 2008 will host collocated events, including the 8th ACM SIGSOFT/SIGPLAN Symposium on Program Analysis for Software Tools and Engineering (PASTE)&#046; </p> <p> We look forward to your participation in SIGSOFT 2008 and your contribution in making it a great success&#046; </p> <p> </p><center> Mary Jean Harrold<br>SIGSOFT 2008 General Chair<br>Georgia Institute of Technology </center> <p> We are thankful to our sponsors for their support in organizing this conference&#046; </p>
