Abstract

<p> SBAC&#8211;PAD is an annual international conference series, the first of which was held in 1987&#046; Each conference has traditionally presented new developments in high performance applications, as well as the latest trends in computer architecture and parallel and distributed technologies&#046; The conference has strong international participation, with submissions typically comming from over a dozen countries&#046; The selection process is competitive, with acceptance rate below 30% in recent years&#046; </p> <p> In 2010, the symposium will be held in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil&#046; Petrópolis was founded in 1843 by the late brazilian Emperor D&#046; Pedro II and is known as Imperial City, with its several historical buildings, and its environmental protection area&#046; In 1999, with the arrival of LNCC (National Laboratory for Scientific Computing), Petropolis became a tecnopole&#046; SBAC&#8211;PAD 2010 will be hosted by LNCC&#046; </p> <p> For further information please check the web site&#046; SBAC&#8211;PAD 2010 will be sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society, the IEEE Computer Society through the Technical Committees on Computer Architecture (TCCA) and Scalable Computing (TCSC), and IFIP&#046; </p> <p> Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts on a wide range of high&#8211;performance computing areas, including computer architecture, systems software, languages and compilers, algorithms, and applications&#046; The authors of selected papers will also be invited to submitted extended versions of their work for possible publication in special issues of relevant international journals&#046; </p>
