Abstract

The Special Session on Collaborative e&#8211;Learning Systems (CeLS) aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working in innovative pedagogical strategies adapted to group&#8211;based e&#8211;learning&#046; e&#8211;learning has become an important business process for corporations, as well as for universities&#046; Despite all the recent activity, models for how people teach and learn online are still immature&#046; Often e&#8211;learning systems fail due to the lack of attention and the lack of commitment of the users to maximize the results of the learning process through the software system&#046;<br>Learning Communities have become a recognized paradigm for solving this problem but some attributes are still overlooked&#046; In particular it is important to realize that in a community there is a measure of commitment to a set of shared values, norms, and meanings and a shared history and identification within a particular culture&#046; Yet, personalization is required in each individual learning process&#046;<br>CeLS encourages authors to submit papers describing original work based on diverse perspectives related to collaborative e&#8211;Learning, including methods, techniques, recent advances, applications and tools&#046;
