The European Microwave Conference is the premier forum showcasing the current status and trends in the field of microwave, millimetre and sub–millimetre wave systems and technologies. The topics are ranging from fundamental electromagnetics and simulation tools, through passive/active components, antennas and propagation, up to complete systems, including the needed advanced manufacturing and measurement techniques. A special emphasis is placed on enabling technologies, such as MEMS, meta–materials, reconfigurable RF components and systems, sensor networks, cognitive radio and 4G communications. In line with the general focus of the EuMW 2012, the 42nd EuMC will feature several sessions concerning space technology and applications. Highly actual fields of research and development, such as (sub)millimetre wave systems and applications, and electromagnetic–biological interaction will be prominently present in the conference.
