Abstract

The ubiquitous nature of sensor networks has driven the development of smart and autonomous sensors. In addition to information processing, intelligent methods are being incorporated into the design, implementation and management of sensor networks. The resulting smart sensor networks are therefore able to meet the demand for autonomy and hence being adopted for a wide range of applications. This workshop will provide a forum for presenting and discussing the most recent advances in different aspects of smart sensor networks. The workshop will gather leading researchers from academics and industry to present their research and experiences from developing/deploying sensor networks. Topics of interest include, but not limited to:
– Actuation Methods
– Bio–Inspired Computing
– Cognitive Radio
– Control Mechanisms
– Cross–layer System Designs
– Data Fusion
– Detection, Estimation, and Tracking
– Human–Sensor Interactions
– Information Processing
– Internet of Things
– MAC Protocols
– Multi–objective Optimization
– Network Security
– Network Topology
– Performance Analysis
– Quality of Service
– Reasoning and Inference
– Resource Management
– Routing and Clustering Algorithms
– Sensing and Sampling Techniques
– Sensor Selection
– Smart Grids
– Smart Home Applications
– Wireless Video Networks
