Metamodeling is known in the SW domain for over one decade. For almost the same time, applications of metamodels are under development in embedded systems domain: UML metamodels and profiles like SysML, MARTE, or IP–XACT. Metamodeling serves with its domain specific approach (one–fits–one–challenge) as an extension to the classical EDA paradigm (one–fits–all–users). Therefore, metamodeling give the chance to provide automation for designs following the more–than–Moore paradigm.
Metamodeling is no theoretical construct since recent industrial applications show up to 60% design effort reduction in the complete implementation (Specification–to–Netlist) and up to 95% reduction to specific tasks. This workshop is planned as a platform for the exchange of information between academia and industry and drive forward metamodeling and code generation techniques for Embedded Systems and the exploration of new applications and directions.
The MeCoES workshop is planned as a platform for the exchange of information between academia and industry and drive forward metamodeling and code generation techniques for Embedded Systems and the exploration of new applications and directions.
