Abstract

IEEE AFRICON is the premier biennial event of the IEEE in Africa&#046; This flagship conference provides a platform for academics and industry professionals to share ideas and present their latest research&#046;<br>Co&#8211;sponsored by the IEEE Region 8 and the IEEE South Africa Section, Africon 2013 will be hosted in the paradise island of Mauritius from 9 &#8211; 12 September 2013&#046; The theme of the conference is “Sustainable engineering for a better future”&#046;<br>The event will feature a comprehensive technical program with distinguished keynote speakers and a vibrant social program on the pearly white beaches of Mauritius&#046; We invite you to submit your original technical papers to this event&#046; Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE AFRICON 2013 conference proceedings and in IEEE Xplore&#046;<br>Themes for which papers are solicited include (but not limited to):<br>* Sustainable Engineering, Energy and Environment<br>* Communication Theory and Wireless Communications<br>* Communications Network and Security<br>* Cloud Computing, GRIDs and Virtualization<br>* Mobile Computing and Geoprocessing Systems<br>
