Abstract

TOPICS:<br>Cyber&#8211;physical systems (CPS) are next&#8211;generation embedded systems<br>featuring a tight integration of computational and physical elements&#046;<br>Emerging applications of CPS include transportation, healthcare,<br>energy, manufacturing, entertainment, consumer electronics,<br>environmental monitoring, and aerospace, all of which will be<br>essential pieces of our social infrastructure&#046; A grander vision of CPS<br>faces a core challenge of multidisciplinary research collaborations,<br>as their relevant technologies appear in diverse areas of science and<br>engineering&#046; The objective of CPSNA is to explore innovative,<br>exciting, and fresh ideas for CPS&#046; Contributions should emphasize on<br>the design, implementation, and evaluation of systems, networks, and<br>applications&#046; The scope of CPSNA 2013 will give due consideration in<br>all areas of research that facilitate collaborations between CPS and<br>existing technologies&#046; Topics of special interest include, but are not<br>limited to, the following:<br>&#8211;Embedded and real&#8211;time systems to support computation of CPS<br>&#8211;Sensor networks to support sensing and actuation of CPS<br>&#8211;Networked control systems to support complex behavior of CPS<br>&#8211;Dependable computing and verification methods to support safety of CPS<br>&#8211;Ubiquitous and pervasive computing to support user experience of CPS<br>&#8211;Cloud and distributed computing to support scalability of CPS<br>&#8211;Data&#8211;intensive computing and data mining to support big data of CPS<br>&#8211;Multicore and GPU programming to support high&#8211;performance of CPS<br>&#8211;Architecture, compiler, and OS to support platforms of CPS<br>&#8211;Experimental prototype systems of CPS<br>&#8211;Emerging applications of CPS<br>
