The MASCOTS conference is a well–established forum for state–of–the–art research on the measurement, modeling, and performance analysis of computer systems and networks. The 22nd edition of this conference will take place September 9–11, 2014 in Paris, France. The conference will bring together academics and industry practitioners to present and discuss their latest research results. The technical program for the three–day conference will include keynote talks, refereed full and work–in–progress papers, posters, demo papers and tutorials.
We encourage original submissions describing research that advances the state of the art in the areas of computer networks and performance evaluation of computer systems in the era of big data. The MASCOTS conference encourages papers describing results both of theoretic and practical significance. Papers presenting new performance evaluation methods or those applying existing methods to provide new insights into design trade–offs for computer and networked systems are particularly encouraged.
Broad topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
Computer Architecture
Computer Networks
Database performance
Distributed/Parallel Systems for Large Scale Intensive Data
High Performance big data analysis
Industrial Practice and Experience
Internetworking Protocols
Multimedia Systems
Performance Evaluation Methodologies
Performance on Web Services and Cloud Computing
Pervasive Web and Mobility
Sensor and Wireless Networks
Social network
Security and privacy
Storage Systems
Web–based Systems
Submissions guidelines
