Abstract

Real–Time and Embedded Systems and Technologies (RTEST)
RTEST 2015 is the first annual symposium targeted at bringing researchers in the fields of real–time systems, embedded systems, and related technologies, from both industry and academia together. This year the event is planned to be held at 7–8 October 2015 in Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. This event covers five main areas, including: real–time software and applications and related tools, embedded hardware, real–time and embedded networks, real–time and embedded operating systems, and system–level design.
RTEST 2015 considers qualified theoretical and practical research papers in the abovementioned areas reporting design, analysis, implementation, evaluation, and empirical results. There also will be a work–in–progress (WiP) session to discuss novel research/practical ongoing activities with the experts in the field. The most qualified papers will be invited to extend their contributions to be reviewed for possible publication in two journals.
Main Areas:
Submitted papers must be in the scope of the conference, namely in the field of Real–Time and Embedded Systems and Technologies. RTEST 2015 covers the following topics:
1. Real–Time Software and Applications, and Related Tools: Software architecture, programming languages, compiler and development environments, WCET estimation, software analysis and design (and the respective toolset), real–time simulation, test and verification, model verification and validation, different application areas like communications, medical, intelligent transportation, intelligent buildings, multimedia systems, aerospace, …
2. Embedded Hardware: Multicore and manycore systems, power and energy consumption, energy harvesting, battery management, processor temperature, fault–tolerance, reliability, security, embedded architectures, resource management
3. Real–Time and Embedded Networks: Network scheduling, network protocols, tools for modeling, design and analysis of embedded networks, wireless sensor networks, cyber–physical systems, network control systems
4. Real–Time and Embedded Operating Systems: Open–source operating systems and standards, OS architecture, drivers, security, fault–tolerance, reliability, power consumption, scheduling algorithms, resource management, performance, test and debug, runtime environment, middleware, multiprocessor systems (Note: papers for this track must include real implementations and enough justification for practicability. In special cases, simulation may also be acceptable.)
5. System–Level Design: This track includes contributions which combines ideas of different levels of system design including tracks 1 to 4 (e.g., hardware/software codesign or cross–layer optimization).
