Abstract

Following its success in New Zealand, the Second Edition of the Asia Pacific Requirements Engineering Symposium (APRES 2015) will be held at Wuhan University, in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China&#046; Wuhan is a beautiful historical city, sits in central China, with the Yangzi River running across the city landscape&#046;<br>The importance of developing and following effective requirements engineering practices has long been recognised by researchers and practitioners alike, especially when facing latest advancements in socio&#8211;­technological needs in various industrial sectors, such as, e&#8211;commerce, manufacturing and healthcare, this year, we hope to concentrate our discussion on RE for Big Data Applications&#046; Requirements Engineering (RE) as an established discipline of research and practice in software and systems development has established an RE community worldwide&#046; According to the growing interest in RE research and practice, the APRES symposia is to develop and expand the RE research and practice community specifically in the Asia Pacific region and to foster collaborations among local researchers and practitioners in Asia and Oceania Area&#046; We also welcome participants and presentations from other parts of the world&#046;<br>We invite submissions on all aspects of Requirements Engineering&#046; In particular, those papers that present novel ideas, methods, tools, and techniques for improving and enhancing RE products, processes and practices are most welcome&#046; We are also interested in reflections on current industrial RE practices and also encourage researchers and practitioners from fields that is cross&#8211;­‐cutting with RE such as Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data and Systems Engineering, Service Sciences, Human Computer Interaction, Social Sciences, and Management to join the forum&#046;<br>
