MSC 2016 areas of interest traditionally include a wide range of topics in control systems, technology, and applications. This year, in addition to such topics, we would like to address new and emerging research areas in control, such as cyber–physical systems, robotics, intelligent autonomous systems, computational intelligence, architectures for intelligent control, control inspired by systems biology, vision in control, and control theory in psychology and sociology, as well as application of control theory in economics, next generation healthcare and healthcare delivery. Given growing worldwide problems on energy generation and transmission, we would particularly like to invite papers on control applications in new energy resources, and in energy grid control. In an increasingly networked world, communications, computing and control systems merge – thus networked control systems and cloud computing in control applications are also topics of special interest. We are also looking for papers dealing with quantum control and quantum feedback control. Other topics of interest include marine control systems, automotive control systems, control of constrained systems, and manufacturing systems control (planning and scheduling).<br>MSC 2016 will be a three–day event, preceded by a full day of Tutorials and Workshops. The conference proceedings will be included in IEEE Xplore and indexed by INSPEC and Ei–Compendex.<br>
