The first, second, and third IEEE/CIC ICCC International Workshops on Internet of Things (IOT) were held successfully on August 12, 2013 in Xi an, October 13, 2014 in Shanghai, and November 2, 2015 in Shenzhen, respectively. And two reports about these workshops appeared in IEEE Communications Society Global Communications Newsletter (GCN) within IEEE Communications Magazine (http://www.comsoc.org/files/Publications/Magazines/gcn/pdf/gc… and http://www.comsoc.org/files/Publications/Magazines/gcn/pdf/GC…).
Based on the success of first three workshops, the workshop, rebranded WIN 2016, aims to provide a forum for authors to present early research results on enabling wireless communication and networking technologies for Internet of Things (IoT).
Topics of interest include (but not limited to) the following:
* Design of communication protocols for IoT
* Network coding and its applications for IoT
* Wireless communication technology for IoT
* Interconnection between IP and IoT networks
* Cross layer optimization techniques in M2M communication
* Infrastructure of information network for IoT
* IoT access network technologies and capillary networks
* Testbeds, experimental measurements, performance evaluation and optimization in communication and networking in IoT
* Cyber–physical security, data privacy, and trust in IoT
* Quality of experience and quality of service for IoT
* Communication and networking protocols among enabling technologies in IoT
* MAC/Network layer cooperative communications for IoT
