This special session deals with the problem of the autonomous vehicles. Indeed, to conclude the automated driving concept, autonomous vehicle systems require multiple sensors (sometimes redundant) to guarantee the aforementioned requirements. A sensor could abruptly fail or operate outside its specified operating conditions (traffic spray, fog, rain, dirt on the cover...) and classical fusion of sensors does not work well with a failed sensor.
The goal is to propose controlling schemes which must be robust and continue to perform adequately in the presence of these faults, are called fault–tolerant control (FTC) schemes.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
– Robust control for autonomous vehicle
– Active and passive fault tolerant control
– Fault Detection and Isolation
– Observer and diagnosis
