Big Data has been at the heart of the Smart City, the Internet of Things, and Social Communities, all of which need to offer services, intelligence, and security. We still need to develop appropriate solutions for the management of Big Data in a secure way. This workshop aims to discuss better solutions for the management and security of Big Data, which may include (1) system design for Big Data Security, (2) state–of–art data engineering schemes for Big Data Security, (3) service design and use cases for Big Data Security, and (4) application–oriented security systems for Big Data.
Interested topics.
A myriad of devices are connected to each other, and the resulting interconnected network generates a huge amount of data related to networks, systems, and social communities. However, we need assurances about the security and the reliability of the generated data, privacy issues raised when using interconnected devices, and the secure management of Big Data. We need to find solutions for managing and securing systems in newly emerging infrastructures using Big Data. Thus, in this workshop, in order to discover and discuss better solutions, we welcome papers that explore service platforms (i.e., network systems, architecture, data models and algorithms) that effectively integrate the ′Internet of Things′ and ′Big Data′ from the perspective of security for data, networks, systems, and applications.
The workshop topics in Smart City, Big Data, and IoT include, but are limited to:
Data analysis and data applications for security
Data models and algorithms for security
Privacy management and anonymization
Machine learning
System design and modeling for security
Distributed systems
Privacy
Cloud computing
Cyber security in emergent technologies
Big data storage
Security in social engineering
Big data platforms, such as Spark, Hadoop
