Abstract

The Wireless Telecommunications Symposium brings together industry professionals and academics from companies, governmental agencies, and universities around the world to exchange information on advances in mobile communications and wireless networking technology, business, policy, applications and security&#046; Past WTS participants have included Dr&#046; Vinton Cerf, Dr&#046; Robert Kahn, and Dr&#046; Leonard Kleinrock, Internet pioneers; Martin Cooper, “Father of the Cell Phone”; Dr&#046; Irwin Jacobs, Co&#8211;Founder and Former CEO of QUALCOMM; and Mike Lazaridis, Founder and former Vice&#8211;Chairman, Blackberry&#046;<br>The theme for WTS 2019 will be "Global Wireless Communications: Now and in the Future”&#046; Planned highlights of WTS 2019 include executive presentations and keynote addresses; presentations of accepted academic and practitioner research papers; panel discussions; tutorials and workshops; a poster paper session; and a doctoral students’ session&#046; Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&amp;I) databases&#046; The proceedings also will be distributed at the Symposium via a CD&#046; Awards will be given for the most outstanding paper presented and best graduate and undergraduate student papers presented&#046; Some selected high&#8211;quality papers from WTS 2019 will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Telecommunications &amp; Networking, pending their successful extension and an expedited review process&#046; Topic areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:<br>Wireless Internet and Multimedia<br>Wireless Communications Investments &amp; Ventures<br>Satellite Based Systems<br>WLANs, WPANs, and Femtocells<br>Global Wireless Services, Business &amp; Applications<br>4G, 5G and Beyond Wireless Networks &amp; Systems Mobile Operating Systems &amp; Architectures Wireless and New Media Mobile and Wireless Network Security and Privacy Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks Wireless Modeling, Algorithms &amp; Simulation Spectrum Management and Policy<br>QoS, QoE, and Wireless Network Reliability<br>Wireless M2M and Home Networks<br>Mobile &amp; Cloud Computing<br>Wireless Telecommunications Management<br>Wireless and Healthcare<br>GPS and Indoor Geolocation Systems<br>Spread&#8211;Spectrum/CDMA/OFDM Technologies<br>RFID Systems &amp; Applications<br>IoT Device Connection Efficiency<br>IoT Security<br>Mobile IP and Cloud Security<br>Autonomous Transportation<br>Big Data Analytics in Telecommunications<br>Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) Network<br>Mobile and Cloud Digital Forensics<br>Mobile Cybersecurity and Phishing<br>
