Abstract

Lately, a wide range of digital signal processing and pattern recognition applications is getting a growing<br>interest in geosciences&#046; This special track aims at illustrating the potential of numerical processing methods,<br>including: linear/nonlinear time&#8211;series analysis, statistical methods, fractal analysis, spectral analysis using<br>Fourier/wavelet transforms, fuzzy Logic, genetic and neural algorithms, etc&#046;<br>We encourage scientists to submit contributions related to the application of these techniques in different<br>fields of geosciences: geophysics (seismic, gravity/magnetic, electromagnetism/magneto&#8211;telluric, etc&#046;),<br>geology, hydrogeology, geodesy/topography, etc&#046;<br><div><br></div><div>Topics include, but not limited to: </div>&#8211;linear/ nonlinear time&#8211;series analysis,<br>&#8211;statistical methods,<br>&#8211;fractal analysis,<br>&#8211;spectral analysis using Fourier/wavelet transforms,<br>&#8211;fuzzy logic,<br>&#8211;genetic and neural algorithms<br>
